Her bmother used to travel by train from N.Rhodesia to attend school in Bulawayo. It is maybe possible that the birthfather worked for the Rhodesian Railways at that time. 30 March 2008: The adoptee has found out that her birthmothers name is Sheilah Catherine Cunningham.

The adoptee believes that her birthmother and her adoptive mother were both patients of Dr Gladys Thomas and that she arranged the adoption privately. 30.11.06 - New info received: My birth mothers name is Joan Dorothy Andrews- she was English and married to my father -only registered with last name of Andrews. They resided in England but divorced him while pregnant with me. She moved to Bulwayo and took a job as a nursery governess. The family she worked for was B. Sparrow of Hillside, Bulawayo. Their house was called "Windsong" on Ecksvale Rd. Any information about Joan Andrews or alternately the Sparrow family (her employers) would be highly appreciated.

Molly Hawkshaw apparently arranged the adoption. It is rumoured that the birth mother was about 17yrs old and later married the biological father.

All three of the children were adopted out individually. The adoptee holds no grudge towards her biological parents and would like to meet them and to know her roots. She is very understanding to the way things are in life and knows that this quality has to have come from either her bmother or bfather.
